The past year has seen the number of teams and games increase dramatically. These extra games have been a challenge for all of the referees.  I want to thank everyone that has refereed games here in Lake Stevens!

We are still looking for youth and especially adult referees.  Working as a referee can be very exciting and fulfilling.  It is an excellent way to stay in shape and get paid at the same time.  The Lake Stevens Soccer Club is currently paying the following rates for soccer referees.

U-9 and below:     $10.00

U10:  $12.00

Recreational games:

U-11 and U-12       $20.00
U-13 and U-14       $25.00
U-15 and U-16       $30.00
U17 and above       $35.00 - $40.00

Assistant referees are assigned on U15 and up for recreational games and are paid $15 - $20 per game.

Select games:

Are paid per North Chapter Referee Association's current rates.

We will sponsor a referee clinic in late spring or early summer.  The referee clinic
is free for anyone who agrees to referee at least 5 games during the season. 
In addition, the club will pay $45.00 toward the cost of your referee uniform.

For all soccer referees----We now have a code of ethics.

1.  I will always maintain the utmost respect for the game of soccer

2.  I will conduct myself honorably at all times and maintain the dignity of
the position.

3.  I will always honor an assignment

4.  I will attend training meetings and clinics to improve my knowledge of
the rules

5.  I will always strive to achieve maximum team work with fellow referees

6.  I will be loyal to my fellow officials

7.  I will be in good physical condition

8.  I will control the players in a courteous and considerate manner without
sacrificing firmness

9.  I will not discriminate against, or take undue advantage of any
individual or group on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or national
origin.
